The Divot® Bare Fiber Adapter is a fast, reliable solution for connecting unterminated (bare) fiber to test equipment—eliminating the need for time-consuming terminations. Designed for field efficiency and precision, the Divot® enables technicians to quickly perform testing, servicing, and troubleshooting with minimal preparation.
Engineered to accept both cleaved and non-cleaved fiber, the device requires only 3/4” of exposed bare fiber for operation. Simply strip, clean, and insert—no messy gel applicators, dipping processes, or external reservoirs required.
At the core of the Divot® is an innovative ferrule design featuring a precision “divot” cavity that retains optical coupling compound, ensuring consistent, low-loss connections. This unique design allows the bare fiber to align with a patch cable ferrule, delivering performance comparable to a standard terminated fiber.
With a typical insertion loss of less than 0.5 dB for cleaved fiber, the Divot® provides accurate, repeatable results across a wide range of testing applications. Its internal replaceable cartridge system ensures clean, low-reflectance connections while supporting hundreds of insertions, making it both cost-effective and reusable.
Ideal for use with OTDRs and other fiber optic test equipment, the Divot® Bare Fiber Adapter is ready to use right out of the box—helping technicians spend less time connecting and more time testing.
